D&R Woodworks begin in 2015 the way that many small craft businesses do, as a hobby that blossomed into an opportunity to grow and sell our creations.  As demand increased for handcrafted items increased D&R Woodworks was created to give those with a desire to purchase handcrafted items at a fair and affordable price an outlet to do so.

David's interest in woodworking began at an early age.  He saw his grandfather working with tools and making furniture, toys, and other items when he was young.  His grandfather made gifts for the family such as kitchen garbage cans with custom engraving, cutting boards, tables, and children's high chairs.  This influence at a young age inspired David to take up the craft as an adult.

D&R Woodworks had very humble beginnings, and continues to be a very small operation today.  The shop began in David's basement garage with a circular saw and a drill.   While the tools have increased along with the number of hours in the shop creating, the workshop is still located in the same humble corner of a basement as it did in the beginning.

​

When you purchase from D&R Woodworks, you are helping a truly small business.  You are helping to support David, as well as his wife and his 7 year old daughter.

As with most small businesses, a day job is needed to keep the lights on and food on the table.  David has many years of customer service and retail experience.  This has given D&R Woodworks the ability to be very customer focused and ensure that all customer concerns are addressed.
